Description
Acrobat's wines are made in Oregon, the state famous for its high-quality Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay. The region has a lot of similarities with Burgundy (also in terms of latitude) so it is not surprising that these 2 grapes do especially well. Acrobat owns vineyards in several parts of Oregon. The Chardonnay grapes come from several vineyards in the hills and valleys of western Oregon. The juice is fermented in a combination of stainless steel and new oak. The wine then matures for four months on its yeast cells ('sur lie'): this gives the wine extra complexity and creaminess. In the glass, this Acrobat is light golden yellow with ripe peach, apricot and lime on the nose. and apple blossom. In the mouth the wine is fresh-fruity and full at the same time. In addition to fruit, there are also notes of crème brûlée in the aftertaste. Delicious with chicken with lemon and thyme from the oven.
FACT: Acrobat is owned by the renowned Foley Wines, which also owns Sebastiani in California.
