The vineyards for this wine are located 350m above sea level, on a southern slope. The vines are 15 years old. The harvest of the Sangiovese grapes takes place in the first days of October. After fermentation in steel tanks, the wine is kept in oak barrels for 8 months. The wine is bottled about 3 months before the sale.
The Fattoi Rosso di Montalcino is a beautiful, elegant, juicy wine with full flavors of red and black fruit. Spicy notes and a nice long finish. Uncork the bottle at least 1 to 2 hours before serving. It is recommended to decant this wine so that the wine is well aerated.
This beautiful Rosso di Montalcino from Fattoi is delicious to drink pasta, chicken, mushrooms and truffles, hearty risottos and dishes of pork or veal. So very versatile and a real pleasure to drink!
