The Denis Bachelet's Bourgogne Pinot Noiur from the beautiful 2019. The yield of the only few hectares of domain with very old vines is already low, but in 2019 it was still about 40% lower, so very difficult to obtain. “La finesse avant tout” – finesse for everything – is Denis Bachelet's watchword. Everything goes for quality. The domain's modern style, which Denis has developed over the decades, includes old vines (almost always), destemmed berries and the gentle extraction methods that have brought Bachelet into the genre of refined, refined, smooth wines.

Denis Bachelet took over the nearly 4 hectare 'large' domain from his father in 1983. In the small domain there are still very old vines (30 years with the regional AOCs to 100 years with the Charmes Chambertin!). The natural yield of these very old vines is very low, but the perfectionist Denis Bachelet did not think that was good enough. By cutting very drastically and low, the maximum yield is reduced even further. Given the small size of the domain, the age of the vines, the perfectionist drive for the very best quality, it is no wonder that Denis Bachelet wines have become highly sought-after cult articles worldwide.
