2019 Bibi Graetz Testamatta

The Testamatta comes from vineyards of very old vines spread across the various vineyards cultivated by Bibi Graetz in both the provinces of Siena and Firenze in Tuscany. The vineyard(s) are actually small postage stamp plots with vines dating back 80 years or more, and each plot represents enological properties that have been specifically selected for its individual character or uniqueness. After manual picking and fermentation, the sangiovese matures in French oak barriques for a period of 30 months after which the wine is bottled and undergoes a further bottle aging of at least 6 months in the cellars of Bibi Graetz. In the glass, the wine has a deep ruby red color with an intense and complex bouquet of scents on the nose, blueberries, cherries, violets, juniper berries, rosemary, cloves and cocoa. The taste is elegant, with great finesse and complexity. The wine is powerful, full of fruit with velvety tannins. The finish is soft, intense and very long lasting.

The 2019 edition is fully called the TESTAMATTA 20TH ANNIVERSARY and has a special trim to celebrate its 20th anniversary
