As with all van Knipsers premium wines, the red wines only become available after several years of aging. The Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) grapes come from various vineyards around Laumerheim. The red Spätburgunder Trocken is harvested manually with a classic yeast fermentation and matured for 12 months in used barriques. In the nose notes of red berries and cherries. A fine yet powerful Burgunder with a good structure. In the mouth complex flavors of raspberries, cherries and notes of a cigar box and espresso powder. Delicious with roast or grilled beef, pork and poultry.
