2018 Valdesil Asadoira Monopolio Sobre Lias

One of the stars in the field of white wines from the Valdeorras is the winery Val De Sil, which focuses strongly on the Galician grape de Godello. The bodega has its vineyards in the Sil valley with its unique egg soils which make the wines of this house unique. Floral, fresh and mineral.

The Valdesil Godello Asadoira Sobre Lias is a 100% Godello from a single vineyard of less than 3.93HA located on schist soil in the homonymous site on the slopes of the Sil Valley in Valdeorras. The wine is only made in top years and the 2018 is the 2nd edition of this wine and is the successor to the 2016. Only 900 bottles are made of it.The Asadoira has been allowed to mature at a very low temperature for 2 years own dregs (sur lie or sobre lias) in concrete tanks.

This is elegance with a capital E. Refined as in fact all Valdesil wines with the long maturing without affecting wood on its own yeasts produces notes of yeast, white flowers, dried flowers, slightly smoky. The palate is firm, balanced and harmonious, medium-bodied with good freshness and a dry finish, with the Godello's distinctive bitter touch. This is the second vintage (2016 was the first) and a great addition to the Valdesil portfolio.
