2018 Segur de Cabanac Cru Bourgeois Saint Estephe

This red wine from Château Segur de Cabanac is an exceptional cru bourgeois produced by Guy Delon (owner of the Moulin de la Rose), which in recent years has become one of the best wines in Saint-Estèphe thanks to its interesting value for money .

The 7-hectare vineyard, located east of the town of Saint-Estèphe, on a sandy slate plateau. The clay and limestone subsoil of the different plots mark the style of this second wine vinification. Manual harvest, selection of the grapes in the vineyard and winery. Aged in French oak barriques for 16 months. The taste is fleshy and spicy and very balanced. The wine has nice tannins, powerful and well integrated. The wine is made from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon , and 40% Merlot grapes. The Segur de Cabanac has a beautiful and firm fruit core with round tannins and a savory aftertaste. Firm and focused and a perfect price for a Saint-Estèphe.
