The first bottle of Sessantanni was filled after the acquisition of a 40-hectare bush vineyard (Alberello) that was more than sixty years old, which was eventually renamed "Valle del Sessantanni" (Sixty Years Old Valley), a single vineyard that marked a turning point for the entire area and which, with its unique style, has earned a reputation as an international reference standard for Primitivo wines.

The grapes for the Sessantanni come from an old vineyard located around the famous village of Manduria in Puglia - in the heel of Italy.
