Since the takeover in 1995 by the Dutch businessman Eric Albada Jelgersma, chateau Giscours has made a comeback with its fantastic terroir. The domain covers over 80 hectares of vineyard and produces a very reliable but above all classic Margaux with a lot of depth. The Giscours is a beautiful vintage. In the glass it has a beautiful dark purple color. The 2018 is a blend of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. It is a medium to full-bodied wine with beautiful notes of espresso, red fruit, (cherry, raspberry) liquorice, leather and has a very refined scent of flowers and fruit with a non-dominant but nicely present oak tones. In the mouth, the wine is round, juicy and can be drunk now, but can also be kept for another 20 years.
