Alonso del Yerro is prepared from 100% tempranillo. The grapes for the wine come from small plots with limestone soils at 800 m above sea level. After the manual harvest was followed by a rigorous grape selection. Fermentation under controlled temperature was extremely slow (25 to 29 days, depending on the lot). Subsequently, the wine was transferred and aged for 10 to 15 months in French oak barriques, 15% of which were new. Vinedos Alonso Del Yerro Crianza is a powerful, characterful 100% Tempranillo wine. Black fruit, "roasted tones", a touch of spice, minerals, wood, ripe tannins and a nice, long finish. This is still unique because this is a top wine and then still nice and affordable. Wine with a 60+ sec aftertaste. Simply delicious.
