In the heart of the Albariño cultivation, Cambados, Xurxo Alba produces its Albamar wines in an artisanal way, above all using the power of nature. Rich, juicy, and an example of pure craftsmanship. The albarinos are very famous especially as the vineyards are close to the sea on a plateau of lime, clay and slate. This gives all wines an unprecedented complexity. In addition to the white albarinos, a beautiful red wine has also been made from the native grapes (espaldeiro, Mencia and Caino red).
The spicy and peppery O Esteiro Caíño takes time to show its character. This is the variety that is easier to spot - dried roses, crushed peppercorns, and ash/pumice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with lively acidity with balsamic aromas. This is Atlantic, maritime red and there are only around 1,300 bottles filled so also very exclusive.
