2017 La Spinetta Vigneto Bordini Barbaresco

The La Spinetta Vigneto Bordini Barbaresco comes from the Bordini vineyard located in Neive at an altitude of 270 with a southern exposure lying on a calcareous soil. The vines are on average 30 years old. In the glass, this Barberesco has the typical light red of the Nebbiolo grape. This wine is very aromatic with floral notes of blueberry, rose, raspberry, violet and lavender supported by garden herbs such as sage and mint. The wine has silky tannins and is beautifully elegant. The long finish is divine.

The alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature controlled rotofermenters for 6-8 days. The malolactic fermentation takes place in French barriques (50% new - 50% 1st) where the wine will mature for 20-22 months. The wine is transferred to stainless steel barrels where it rests for 3 months and finally matures for another 12 months in the bottle. No filtering or clearance.
