2017 Bourgogne Domaine Catherine & Claude Marechal Cuvée Royats
Coming from vineyards that extend over the Pommard plain. The grapes are grown organically. Manual harvest and the wines are raised on French oak between 14-18 months. This estate of Bligny-lès-Beaune, in the Côte d'Or, is known for the quality and homogeneity of its production. In the Ladoix, Catherine and Claude Maréchal developed a fine and balanced red wine, the Royats cuvée. The wine has intense aromas of red fruit in the nose and then reveals a deep, smooth, balanced mouth with soft tannins. A gastronomic and elegant pinot noir.
The wines of Catherine and Claude Maréchal have been chosen by the CIVB (Committée Interprofessionel de Vins de Bourgogne) as "exemplary Burgundy" to serve on official occasions. We don't have to add much more.
