The 2016 Domaine de Chevalier Rouge is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Cabernet Franc. The red Chevalier is deeply garnet-purple in the glass. In the nose tones of plums, blueberry compote and cassis scents with hints of sandalwood and spices (pepper). The wine is elegant and medium bodied with grainy tannins and a long finish. The red wine now occupies just as prominent a place in the Graves as the white wine.
