The Domaine de Chevalier Blanc is a blend of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon aged in around 40% new oak. In the glass this light yellow top wine is fresh with a nice minerality and notes of tropical fruit and a little bit of citrus. although this is almost cursing in the church but this Chevalier is a bit like a Burgundian wine. Olivier Bernard certainly does not want to make a stereotype wine and this Pessac-Léognan certainly succeeded. The 2016 vintage is one of the most beautiful Chevaliers ever. The Chevalier Blanc is a wonderful wine to enjoy but definitely recommended with foie gras or pâté.
