The result of a rigorous selection in every production phase, in both the vineyard and the winery, this large, mainly Cabernet Sauvignon wine is typical of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. Structured and with tannins but with all the elegance and refinement of a Grand Cru Classé. Over time, the wine develops a delicate and complex bouquet. Aged for 18 months in 60% new oak barrels, the premium wine accounts for an average of 55% of the total production of the estate.
The taste is firm with notes of burnt oak, black fruit, eucalyptus and a nice spiciness.

The wine has a considerable aging potential and can be kept for an exceptionally long time. Certain volumes (1921, 1929, 1982, 1990, 2009) are considered legendary 2015 and 2016 will come in that list.
