Dogs of the Barossa is the story of a young dog in a world full of old hands. Eager to prove himself, the young dog is now showing his worth in Barossa with all his strength and vivacity. He has a super sensitive nose to pick up every aroma and a fantastic pallet and liver to get through all the tasting. Its claws are perfect for gently crushing the grapes. His tail will keep him balanced, and his hind legs will take him far in the long-distance race of the finish!

The grapes come from the Koounga vineyard in Barossa of winegrower John Kalleske. With a deep clay layer, the roots of the vines here have to search for limited groundwater, which gives concentration, strength and depth.
Vinification The grapes are fermented in open tanks, with the grape pulp being pumped over twice a day. The wine is then fermented a second time in oak barrels to add extra color and intensity. The wine is then aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels using American oak.
In the glass, this top model from Redheads is Deep dark red with black cherries and raspberries in the nose, a cigar box (tobacco and cedar wood) and charcoal. In the mouth the wine is full bodied, firm, full of silky tannins and with sweet cherries and notes of oak.
