The Domaine Jean-Claude Rateau Les Beaux Fougets comes from two adjacent terroirs: "Les Bons Feuvres", a soil rich in iron and "Les Beaux Fougets" with beautiful clay soils and one of the most famous terroirs of the Beaune. This beautiful Burgundy is (certified) biodynamically produced. After fermentation, the Pinot Noir matures in oak barrels for 9 to 18 months before being bottled. The wine is not filtered. The wine has a beautiful sparkling red color. In the nose red fruit and black currant, a little earth and herbs. In the mouth a good balance, very accessible, round and fruity with a mineral tone and beautiful tannins. A very elegant red burgundy from the Beaune made by J. Claude Rateau who is a pioneer in the Beaune and was one of the first | (there are already many now) who switched after a concept to make beautiful wine with minimal intervention and consciously chooses that the good wine must come from the vineyard and not from a chemistry box.
