The godfathers of the Amarone are without doubt Quintarelli and the legendary Romano Dal Forno and belong to the absolute top among the Valpolicella and Amarone wines, so of course Dal Forno should not be missing in the range of Grancru wines. At Dal Frono wine is made in an almost manical way, where it is only about quality and not quantity. Romano knows not only every vine in his vineyard, but even every bunch. At the Fattoria, all bunches of grapes are checked one by one and only the best grapes are selected for their winning. Dal Forno stands for perfection.

The Valpocicella Classico Superiore from Romano Dal Forno comes from a vineyard located on a terroir of 70% gravel, 15% silt and 15% clay. The wine is a blend of the typical grape varieties 70% Corvina grossa, 20% Rondinella, 5% Croatina 5% Oseleta. The pressing takes place in the first days of November after the grapes have been checked manually. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks under a controlled temperature of 28°C, with the contents automatically moving, this lasts for 15 days, with the last 2 days being used for the final maceration. The Valpolicella rests for a few days, after which it is decanted and matured for 36 months in new barrels. After mass filtration, the wine is bottled and stored for another 24 months. In the nose, this beautiful Valpolicella has beautiful notes of blueberries, blackberries, cherries and chocolate. The powerful tannins give structure to this wine. The perfect symbiosis with the velvety aromas of sweet spices and jam envelop the palate and stimulate the senses. The result of this lengthy process is paying off and producing a wine with intense aromas.

The Valpolicella goes well with roasted meat such as beef, lamb, veal, but also with game such as deer, rabbit and wild boar. The wine also goes well with pastas based on tomatoes or truffles. This wine can also be combined with strong cheeses.
