The 25 Anni Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG is a 100% Sagrantino. The first vintage was produced in 1993. The wine has aged in French oak barrique for 24 months and aged for at least 6 months in the bottle. The 25 Anni has beautiful aromas of wild berries, chocolate, leather and spices. On the palate a powerful and complex taste with loads of noble tannins and an ultra-long finish. This Sagrantino di Montefalco 25 Anni has an impenetrable color. Today they are the undisputed leader of the Sagrantino di Montefalco appellation. Delicious with roasted and grilled lamb, black truffle, game.
The vineyards of Arnaldo Caprai are located just above Montefalco in a beautiful, rolling landscape. The Montefalco region is home to the Sagrantino grape, which has been cultivated here for over 400 years. Arnaldo Caprai therefore has a number of top wines from the Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG wine in its range and is one of the major and leading wineries of both the region around Montefalco and actually the whole of Umbria. Owner Marco Caprai's vineyard innovates and experiments. Together with the Milan University of Agricolture, part of the vineyard is used to see where new ideas and techniques can lead.
