Description

The godfathers of Amarone are without a doubt Quintarelli, the legendary Romano Dal Forno and now Garbole boutique winery. These are the undisputed top wines among Valpolicella and Amarone wines. At Garbole, wine is made in an almost manic way where it is only about quality and not about quantity. The entire process in the vineyard takes place completely manually and grape by grape is checked and only the top goes into their wines and the unselected grapes are used as (very expensive) fertilizer for the vineyard.

The goal of Garbole is undoubtedly ambitious: to produce not only the best Italian wines but also the best recioto wine, the best Valpolicella and the best amarone wine. The motto of Garbole is "Create excellent wines without compromise; Autonomy and creative freedom the founding values"

The Hurlo is the top model among the Amarone wines and this unique wine cannot be described. This is a secret that you can only unravel by tasting it. Are you ready? This Amarone is a blend of Corvina, Saccola, Pontedarola and Negrara grown on the 10-hectare estate, grapes are dried for three months. After fermentation, this wine matures for 7 years in new oak barrels of 350 liters. After this, it rests in the bottle for at least 1 year (the 2013 spent more than 2 years in the cellars of Garbole for further bottle maturation). In addition, the bottles are distributed in small quantities and in very small numbers to a very select group of importers.

This Hurlo has strong aromas ranging from sweet cherry, heavy berry, licorice, chocolate, raisin, blueberry and Mediterranean herbs. A very deep and structured red wine that perfectly combines its intensity with its extreme elegance, a strong concentration of fruit and a delicious softness in the mouth. This wine is difficult to describe, because with every sip something different comes up, but what makes the wine so beautiful is its purity and firmness in combination with freshness.

The Hurlo bottle is numbered and comes with a sealed certificate of authenticity and is housed in a beautiful wooden box. More information can also be found on the Garbole website .

The 2 brothers (Filippo and Ettore) have a common mission and ambition, which is to make a super unique wine that cannot be compared with other wines from the Veneto.
From the first idea (1994) they always try to surpass themselves with a healthy tension to make quality red wines.
A courageous restlessness takes them on this journey, a journey of constant improvement of the wines. The winery is located in Tregnago, a few kilometers from another visionary Dall Forno Romana. Also discover Garbole and taste these super unique red Veronese wines, such as Heletto IGT Rosso Veneto and the Hatteso amarone della valpolicella riserva DOCG. The Hurlo is also very exclusive for the real, real wine lover!

The aim of the Garbole is undoubtedly ambitious: to produce not only the best Italian wines, but also the best recioto wine, the best Valpolicella and the best amarone wine. Garbole's motto is "Create excellent wines without compromise; Autonomy and creative freedom the founding values" This is different. No compromises, very exclusive and extremely rare.
