This beautiful organic Guts Reserve from 2011 is made from 100% Grüner Veltliner . This wine is special because the winery (Geyerhof) has aged it for a very long time. No less than 6.5 years on the big barrel in a large barrel! This Guts reserve has full and juicy aromas on the nose (ripe pure Claude plum, hazelnut and a hint of balm). Beautiful in texture, silky with an elegant tension and a great juicy, long finish. It is recommended to drink this wine at a temperature of around 10 ° C. This wine combines very well with fish dishes, sushi and with spicy and / or chili spiced dishes.

This Grüner Veltliner comes from an eastern oriented vineyard in the Kremstal in Niederösterreich, the most important wine region of Austria. The Kremstal area is located on both sides of the Danube, around the city of Krems. The vineyard has a thin soil consisting of loess developed from crystalline granulite. Granulite is metamorphic - or converted - rock that is light and sometimes appears violet - streaked from the dark mica (biotite). The grapes for this wine were manually harvested in mid-November and placed in small crates. After pressing the whole bunches and natural pre-filtration, this wine has been lying on a large barrel for 6.5 years before being bottled.

Producer of this wine is winery Geyerhof, whose vineyards are located on the south side of the Danube below the famous monastery Göttweig. Wine is the focus of everyday life at Geyerhof. Joy and respect for life determine the actions and working method. The winery was first mentioned in the municipality archives in the 12th century and has been family owned since the 16th century. With passion, Ilse and Josef Maier have cultivated 23 hectares of vineyards here according to organic regulations since 1988. Since 2015, Maria & Josef, the next generations, have joined the family business. lse Maier and her son make organic wines that are juicy and friendly at Geyerhof in the Kremstal. The Grüner Veltliner grape variety covers approximately 70% of Geyerhof's vineyards. Special emphasis is placed on the authentic expression of individual vineyards in the single-vineyard wines.
