Château Langoa Barton is a Troisième Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien. Of all the Grands Crus Classés of the Médoc rankings from 1855, Château Langoa Barton is the only domain that is still owned by the same family as at the time. The wine is a blend of mainly cabernet sauvignon with merlot and cabernet franc.
The 2010 Langoa Barton is one of the best vintages and has the typical structured, dense Saint Julien style but the 2010 is much softer and more developed than one usually expects from owner Anthony Barton. It is full and impressively endowed with subtle oaks, rich cassis and tones of new saddle leather, forest floor, cedar wood and spices. Full, authoritative and closed. The ideal drinking window is between 2018 and 2035.
